If you are debating between Highpoint and Residences at Sawmill Station like we were, you won’t be disappointed choosing the latter.

First things first, the apartments are brand new and so is the entire community. They opened in December 2021 and are gradually filling it up. So needless to say that the place is clean, bright (and white), equipped with brand new appliances and the lobbies always smell good. There is a very beautiful community space with lovely decor if you work from home. It’s usually not crowded and if nobody is playing pool, you can peacefully work from there.
I love the fact that there are good (paid) parking options in a separate building so no disturbances.
I had a couple of maintenance requests mostly because I did not know a certain things and they were resolved within 24 hours. The biggest plus point is that the maintenance guy (a very smiling gentleman) and the leasing staff stay on the property. So, most of the issues get resolved before they even reach us. They are very thoughtful and accommodative. Heck they even have a cart for you to carry your things from the parking to your apartment!!
We have had a couple of socializing events in the community if you are into having fun and meeting new people. Attached is a photo from the pool party last month.
We have been here almost 2 months now and are loving our new home.

This place has everything you would want in an apartment. New modern amenities, awesome pool, friendly & helpful management, not to mention great location!!! Convenient location to Amazon Fresh & Cooper’s Hawk is a skip away. It’s also not too far from the major expressways & Old Orchard Mall. The apartment itself is also beautiful & spacious. You won’t regret choosing this place.

I love this place! it makes me feel like I am in a beautiful resort at the same time it has a very homey vibe. The gym which is like 24/7 is so convenient especially with my crazy schedule.

Ciera is exceptionally very hospitable and will make feel very welcome. She has a very pleasant personality and attends to your needs promptly and efficiently. She is very trustworthy and showed genuine care.

I have lived in five (5) different apartments in eight (8) years and I gotta say I have never been pleased with my current apartment. I will definitely renew my lease! So worth it!

I look forward to thoroughly detailing the absolutely horrific experience of living here and the process of leaving (which the new management team is making incredibly difficult given the previous team was handling the transition so professionally) once I am no longer associated with the address. The management team has proven to be petty and other residents have told me of their retaliatory actions towards them when they have complained.

Beautiful property and convenient location. However, the parking fees are very high. I sold my car and had to argue with management to remove my car from the lease, when the language in the lease did not state your car is part of the lease. The shopping center parking lot is full of crazy drivers, so you have to be extra careful. The dog park is also not maintained well and all of the grass is dead.

We were one of the first residents to move into the building in 2022. Now that the building is at capacity, there is dog poop everywhere and the neighbors are very inconsiderate. This is a non-smoking property yet there are cigarettes all over. Due to the increasing rates we will not renew our lease, since we cannot justify paying a mortgage for a one-bedroom apartment in the suburbs.

I am excited to make this my new home! Everything about this pristine, new apartment complex are top of the line: stainless appliances, stone countertops, 10-foot ceilings, outdoor pool and, so many other amenities... and pets are allowed. I rented a unit overlooking the forest preserve with a gorgeous view and large balcony . I can't wait to move in! The leasing agents were so welcoming and helpful, making the application process so easy. You definitely should take a look!

Addendum: After living here for a year I’d like to add that living here has only increased my pleasure of making this my home. I used the word pristine in my initial review and that is a totally accurate description of this property. Management and the entire staff work hard to maintain it in new condition. Even the garage is washed out frequently, so unlike where I rented before moving here. Today they were power washing the stairs to upper floors…surprisingly attentive to areas not commonly thought of in my previous rental experience. I love living here!! Tenants seem very happy and cordially greet each other while passing in the hallways. The building is solidly constructed so neighbors can’t be heard in adjoining apartments, even those with dogs! I definitely recommend this building for your consideration (and I have no connection to ownership or management!) I’m just very happy here and glad I made the decision to move here a year ago.

Addendum after living here for two years: I’m still very happy here! Currently, the outdoor pool is a welcome amenity, especially since we’ve had some very hot and humid days. Last year I mentioned that dogs are welcome but I neglected to mention that there’s a dedicated room for dog bathing! Although I don’t have a dog, I think it’s a great amenity for those that do have one. (Nice big tubs with the necessary sprayers.) Tenants are ethnically and culturally diverse and very friendly. The whole spectrum of ages including some families with children but more younger singles and couples, I think. It’s a big part of why I like living here! Oh, and EV hookups available in the garage, too. Definitely 5 stars (and I have no connection to ownership or management!) Just a happy tenant!

I was one of the first people that moved into the apartment complex when it opened and just recently moved out. The new management is unprofessional and unresponsive. When I was trying to schedule a final inspection with the property manager, he said I was scheduled and the day of said he couldn't make it anymore. Completely unprofessional and has been unresponsive regarding other issues. The complex nickel and dimes you for absolutely everything. The apartments are overpriced as is.

The apartment complex also allows intact dogs at this place and lets them in common areas. My dog was attacked by an intact 95lb rottweiler earlier this year. My dog sustained injuries and I was bit during the attack. The management company conducts pet interviews, however, this dog was clearly not friendly. I was unaware that the dog was not neutered and would have never brought my dog into the dog park. I spoke with another resident at the complex that said they were bit by the dog and the dog was not removed from the complex. The other dog owner moved out shortly after the incident and management has been uncooperative with me and my attorney.

Do not stay here, especially if you have dogs.

***Response to the owner: I met with the property manager (Rian Roland) the day after the incident after I requested to discuss the situation with them. No one met with me after that and no one has responded to my emails or returned my phone calls since then. Not sure where you guys are getting the multiple occasions from. You guys have my contact information and can reach out to me. I emailed Skylar on May 10th and again on May 28th and still haven't received a response...

The Community Manager (Skylar Mcdaniel) did not complete my move out inspection. I scheduled an inspection with him for a specific date and when I reached out to him the day of, he said he was "actually not available today" and had the assistant manager complete the inspection. Completely unprofessional and rude.

We were at these condos for 1 year, the admin staff was helpful and kind.

The quality of the build is not that great but aesthetically it's beautiful. The price for the rentals is high.

The stairways were not clean due to the number of pets in the building.

Overall our experience was pleasant.
