I have stayed here three years in a row and it has become my annual Ouray go to. The rooms are absolutely charming and the location is quiet, yet central.
Kristin, the innkeeper, is as lovely as can be. Always up for a lovely conversation if the opportunity arises, but otherwise quiet, yet there when you need her.
Regarding breakfast, you can thank me later. The best breakfasts I have ever had in any resort, hotel, B&B at any price point.
I come here to recharge and just go at my own pace. This place checks every box when it comes to location, peacefulness, quality of lodging and food, and overall atmosphere.
I am already looking forward to coming again next year.

We truly enjoyed our three nights here at the inn. The room was comfortable and the home is beautiful. Kristen, the innkeeper made sure we were comfortable and well cared for. The location is perfect and convenient, yet quiet. The breakfasts each day were different and delicious. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely stay here each time we visit Ouray in the future! Also, we were lucky enough to view the northern lights from our room! So neat!

This is the most beautiful, clean, and convenient B&B in Ouray. It feels just like home! The Innkeeper, Kristin, is the best. She is caring and detail-oriented. Be ready to enjoy the best breakfasts every morning. If you are an ice climber, this is the perfect location, close to the park and main street. We appreciate everyone at the Inn. It's our go-to every time we are in Ouray.

Loved loved loved staying at this quaint, comfortable, and quiet B&B while in Ouray. As a light sleeper, my main concern before staying anywhere is always the noise level. If you’re looking for a guaranteed quiet stay with a bed so comfortable it was dreamy, this is the place for you. Seriously when we were in our room it was as if we were the only people there, I could never hear any outside noise or from the rooms next to us, it was so nice. The in room AC unit was an added bonus. The location is great as it’s right next to Main Street but not on Main Street, an ideal spot in my opinion. Above all else, the innkeepers were lovely, hospitable people. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. We did not use the hot tub on site but was a plus knowing it was there for use if we wanted. When we did peek at it, it looked well kept and very clean.

My husband and I spent two nights at the China Clipper Inn in Ouray, Colorado and it was delightful. The Inn is beautiful, well maintained and comfortable. Although it was built in the 1990's, the feeling is of an historic residence.
Kristen, the manager and her assistant Ansley, add to the charm and ambience of the Clipper Inn. We even had the pleasure of meeting Kristen's son, just prior to his heading off to school. What a fun experience.
The Inn was clean, quiet and the breakfast was scrumptious. I would stay there again.

A welcoming place in winter Ouray. My schedule required leaving the sparsely occupied China Clipper well before the breakfast service so the staff took the time to prepare a very good breakfast for me individually. The place was quiet, elegant and comfortable, with a fireplace in our upstairs room and a well stocked library below. I would happily stay again.

Our first time to stay at a B and B and the bar was set high. We come to Ouray every other year and sometimes yearly. Hopefully the new owner realizes what they have in Kristen. She made us feel like we were at home. Ainsley was great and the two make you feel so welcome. Ouray hidden gem. Best place to stay in Ouray none other compares. Breakfast was fabulous. Will be back.

We stayed at the China Clipper Inn and hands down one of the best breakfasts we have had! Also, the location is wonderful to walk to the shops and hiking. Room was quiet and had everything we needed!
