Our weekend at Stone Oak was beyond perfect. The barn is immaculate, clean, and gorgeous. The owners, Natalie and Richard are wonderful people, so accommodating and thoughtful. They offer everything you may need from a full kitchen stocked with coffee, milk, yogurt, peanut butter, etc. to shampoo, toothbrushes, a hairdryer, etc. They have a true passion for making sure you are comfortable and at home. Natalie sneaks in in the morning and leaves a lovely spread for breakfast which includes juice, pastries, oatmeal, fresh cut fruit, and more. I would absolutely come back and I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

I was initially seeking a month long housing option in the area as I am a medical student doing a rotation at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. My initial housing plans fell through and Rich and Natalie were right there to help me out in a crunch. I rented one of the three bedrooms for an entire month while I was there for a rotation. It is about a 15 minute drive into Middletown, NY and very close to restaurants and supermarkets. I had a fantastic stay and had no complaints. There are three individual bedrooms all with on-suite private bathrooms and a shared living space, kitchen, deck, and dining room. Each room is equipped with a TV, air conditioner, and fast wi-fi. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a complete meal if staying in. There were no laundry machines on-site for extended stay renters but a nice clean laundromat down the road. The barn is located down a gravel driveway adjacent to the owner’s property. The rooms and living spaces are located on the second floor of a two storied barn with the first floor being space to sell Christmas trees during the winter. The barn is located on a 150 acre Christmas Tree farm which includes walking and hiking trails. Richard and Natalie were the kindest people and checked in and made sure I was okay and had everything I needed each and every day. Natalie would also frequently leave fresh vegetables from the garden in the morning to use for snacking or cooking. By the end of the month we all became good friends and they even invited me over for a homemade Italian dinner. This gorgeous B&B was built using peg and beam technique by Rich and his family and took over 13 years to complete. Stone Oak Tree Farm B&B is truly a hidden gem and is definitely worth the experience to stay for a night if you’re traveling through the area, a romantic weekend getaway, or month long stay option as a student.

Amazing experience cutting our Christmas tree ourselves. Natalie and Richard were kind, informative, and accommodating letting us warm up by the fireplace for a spell. The littles enjoyed their candy canes while recovering from rigors of sawing our tree. What a welcoming, magical place!

Rich and Natalie are very welcoming and love showing you around. The common rooms are set up wonderfully for early risers or just for hanging out with coffee and light refreshments available 24/7. Rich built the building and most of the furniture in it.

Great place, remember to get your “Christmas tree” here, you cut your own all sizes and species of tree. It’s a good family day out and enjoy the hot drinks and fire inside

Unfortunately, this place does not have a selection of Christmas trees. It is unlikely that you will be able to find something suitable for you.
