My Sister and I stayed here for two nights and we thought it was excellent value. Once we got checked in and a set of keys we made arrangements for breakfast. Rockhill is walking distance to the centre of Moffat less than ten minutes. I loved the traditional style of the place and we got a very good helping for breakfast. Our rooms were lovely and I was at the back of the house at the front there is a bowling club opposite and a tennis court. Parking is on the street and it was not a problem for us. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this guest house multiple times with my late mother, father and grandmother. Whilst this review is very belated, I just wanted to say that the then owners, Barry and Phyllis were the most amazing, beautiful, friendly people and having since travelled the World, without question, this place and area remains by far my most memorable and enjoyable childhood memory. Don’t miss out on this gift of a memory. Thank you.

A delightful family run B&B just a short walk from Moffat town centre, our room (4) was well presented with en-suite shower room. Coffee/tea/kettle and cups replenished daily, you even get a new chocolate treat! Full English for breakfast made fresh as you come down with fresh fruit, yogurt etc to start. Everywhere including our room cleaned daily, on road motorbike parking to front and 3 spaces to back (gravel). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Friendly and accommodating x

Stayed here 8th September 21, 1 night during bike tour in the area. After a very poor quality of service the previous night in Ayr I have to say our stay at Rockhill was a breath of fresh air. Phyllis was so welcoming and friendly, our room was basic but most comfortable and very quiet indeed at the rear of the premises. It took us 5 mins to walk into Moffatt for evening meal, we went to 'The Stag' hotel and sat outside afterwards with the locals who were friendly and we had a great laugh with them. Breakfast the next day absorbed the previous nights liquids and we checked out after a blissful nights sleep. Its not 5* but I'd definitely recommend Rockhill.

Such a shame to leave this review as my initial conversations with the owner appeared very positive. Originally planned a 3 night stay and enquired about vegan breakfast which was all catered for, due to a change in circumstances, I asked if I could bring an additional person into the twin room I had allocated and again the answer was yes and the additional fee was very modest, so no issues there. Again due to a change in circumstances I had to work late, meaning I wouldn't be arriving until early morning. I sent an email confirming this would be OK as I didn't think it would have been an issue. Wrong.

I was told that it wasn't acceptable that I would be arriving late and that I'd need to book somewhere else. As I say, such a shame as initially everything with the booking seemed very positive.

I booked this relatively last minute for £45 and to be fair it done the job for me. I have no complaints whatsoever.||The very nice lady who checked me in was very welcoming and even give me a few pointers on the best places for me to go for a run! Nice touch that as I’d never been to Moffat before.||The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I required or would expect. The breakfast was nice and all in all I had a very pleasant stay.||I will more than likely be in the area a few tones over the next 12 months with work and I would have no hesitations with booking a room here again.

The hotel is on a quiet road and is a short walk from the town.||We received a warm welcome, the room was clean and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows just right - neither too soft or too hard.||Breakfast was served prompt and was delicious, served in a lovely room overlooking the bowling green and fields beyond.||Would definatly return and would recommend it to anybody looking to stay in Moffat.
