Un oasi di tranquillità

We had a nice 4 night stay in the Varenna Studio on the 4th floor. The location was great with a short walk to the waters of Lake Como and town center. A very small portion of this walk is on a shoulder of a road which can be tricky at night but it'll only be a quick couple of minutes. The apartment was comfortable, showers had nice hot water, the deck was a nice space to relax except we discovered hundreds if not thousands of ants on the ceiling of the deck..it could have been the affect of the rain. They seem to stay outside so just don't look up on the deck! The host Alessia was very responsive and helpful! There are a few things with the apartment and it's policies that you should be aware of: 1. internet is very weak. 2. TV channels are mostly in arabic which is annoying when the wifi signal is weak and you can't stream anything with your laptop to unwind in the evening or during a rainy day. 3. You have to take the trash out upon your departure even though they charge a $50 cleaning fee as part of your stay. 4. Their payment policy is such that you pay in full when you check in and on top of that, a $200 euro safety deposit. Lake Como was our last destination before returning home and= felt very strongly about not wanting to have that currency leftover so, Alessia was able to work with us on that. As a recommendation to the property, a better policy that is more of the norm, would have been for the safety deposit to apply to your payment at check out. Having said all that, we had a nice stay.

We spent 5 nice nights in a two level apartment with modern furniture and well equipped kitchenette. The look to the lake is amazing, esp. from the upper level balcony. The residence has its own small swimming pol. The location is very good – near the railway station and the ferry (a bit steep way if you have more luggage, on a road with traffic and without sidewalks); short way to Varenna central part (better by the promenade).||There is a separate fee for cleaning when leaving.

Lovely, clean and practical studio apartment enough space for me and hubby. The views on second floor was spectacular! Only a 10min walk into Varenna centre. ||Highlight was meeting the lovely Alessia who kept in contact from the U.K till we landed in Italy. She was a brilliant host and been so helpful throughout the whole stay. Thank you for everything u made it check in and check out so smooth. ||We got married in Varenna so it's very special and memorable place to us. We definitely will come back and visit 😉 ||

Le logement à plusieurs atouts :|- la vue sur le lac |- plutôt bien équipé |- piscine (même si fraîche) |- bien placé dans le joli village de Varenna ||Mais un gros point négatif :|- la literie : cela confirme les commentaires elle est horrible c est indécent de proposer cela vu les prix élevés ||Par ailleurs la lumière sur le balcon ne fonctionnait qu à partir de 23h et pendant toute la nuit (car automatique !)|Pas pratique du tout ! Nous avons demandé dès le début du séjour de faire quelque chose et rien n a été fait donc pensez à prendre des bougies ||Le logement donne également sur une route un peu passante.||||

Stayed here for four nights in a studio.||Pros:|Very clean and great views of Lake Como.||Cons:|No on site support.|Crazy dangerous walk up and down narrow curvy road to walk to and from town.|Worst sofa bed sleeping ever. |Teeny weeny bathroom facilities. |Steep Cleaning fee for stay and you have to walk into town to deposit your garbage at the end of your stay.

I booked this property in January 2017, to arrive 8 months later in August. sent deposit, got confirmation email and at 30 hours notice of arrival she text me to say she was sorry but she had booked it to someone else by mistake!!! Even though i booked first, she put us last. Too afraid to upset the website she booked through. We ended up staying in a terrible apt, it was all she could find us, that had bed bugs, no air-con and was filthy and antiquated with no pool and we had a very sad 4 year old with us! She couldn't have cared less! This was a money making scam on her part, because she did not refund us any money for her 'mistake'- charged us the same to stay in somewhere far inferior. When i text her to let her know how disappointed we were, she ignored us. This is the reason i had to review- do not book with her- she will do the same again!!!

7 venninner på tur til Varenna og Residenza Liugina fungerte bra til dette formålet. Vi hadde to leiligheter og var alle fornøyde. Sentral beliggenhet med nærhet til togstasjonen. Bra utsikt, rene og moderne leiligheter, gode senger. Herlig med basseng som ble flittig brukt etter varme dager med sighseeing.
