Last weekend found us in Orlando to attend an AKC dog show there. We decided to stay over at the Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown. What a pleasant place to stay!
Checking in was a breeze, aided by a pleasant gentleman at the front desk. Our room was on the fourth floor, and it was clean, spacious, and modern. The room had a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths. The beds were very comfy! We had a problem booting up the living room television, but that was quickly remedied by the front desk. The morning breakfast (included in the room price) was tasty with lots of options.
This hotel was about 12 miles from the Disney attractions. It sits near many downtown Orlando restaurants. The only disappointment I could find with this hotel was the $20 daily fee to park (ouch!). None the less. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Oh my gosh ....what a lovely stay I had here. Staff was warm and friendly. And the room was fantastic! Great bed, pillows and sheets. Breakfast was ok...really needed some sort of potatoes on the breakfast bar. I was there 3 breakfasts and was slightly disappointed.

I want to say that staff was pleasant and helpful. A special shout out to Lori Fitzgibbon and John Swanson. I requested a room change as my first night room was facing busy street/ traffic noise. They kindly and efficiently made this happen.
I will say that it is time for Marriott
to spend some $ updating the rooms at this property. Rooms are getting drab. I did like the location and felt safe walking to several nice restaurants just blocks away.
Complementary breakfast was fine.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! The gentleman with the blond hair at the front desk was incredibly professional and friendly. He swiftly handled the check-in process and made me feel warmly welcomed. Not only him, but the rest of the staff were also fantastic. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the breakfast was a real treat. The cleanliness of the hotel, as well as the attentive housekeeping, really stood out to me. I have to say, everything was just perfect during my stay. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

I’ve been here several times - first time reviewing. Wifi is great and easy to connect to. Rooms were clean. I’d take half a star off because there were some missed spots (a dot of splashed liquid here and there on light switches and some leftover soap scum on the soap holder). Breakfast had a lot of variety — they have hot coffee and iced coffee. I wish the big pot of plain oatmeal was available. They had several oatmeal toppings / mix-ins available, but pre-packaged instant apple oatmeal cups. Great service. Not noisy from the road. I’d stay again.

We had to leave Tampa due to hurricane Milton, we booked a different hotel that was overbooked and waited 4 hours being told we were next in line. I called this hotel and got right in. The pet fee was waved due to the hurricane and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good for a hotel. They opened an area in the parking garage for dogs to go to the bathroom during the storm and used a coat hanger to hold the bags, it’s small things like that, that make it feel like they genuinely care about their guests. We had an issue with the WiFi in our room and Antonio was very helpful in getting it resolved quickly. If I find myself back in Orlando I will be staying here again.

When I arrived their system was down so I couldn't get my key and had to be let into my room any time I wanted to get in it. Not their fault but inconvenient to say the least. I also was surprised with a $20 per night parking fee. Why not put that into the price of the hotel? No one wants to be nickled and dimed. The worst part was waking up in the morning and finding a live German cockroach in my bathroom. I video taped it and reported it to the front desk after killing it. I'm praying there weren't more and I didn't bring any home with me! Grabbed a muffin before leaving the next morning. That was actually very good.
