Love my apartment and the complex is always quiet and peaceful. I just renewed my lease, and I love how the new property manager communicates with us on ongoing issues or events at complex. She always has extra events that she coordinates and appreciate her involvement. I love the amenities we are offered and the surrounding business and restaurants available.

After the freak storm last Thursday, power was out everywhere in the neighborhood. I had the additional problem of the HVAC system being damaged. By Monday afternoon the maintenance staff had already fixed the AC and I could come back to a cool apartment. Super impressed with their determination to get us all back up and running as soon as possible! Thank you!

I have been living here for almost 6 years now. After the mobile home park that I had lived in with my late Mother for 27 years closed down in 2017 just a year after she had passed and being stressed out as to where I was going to live, this place became a God send for me. After looking at other places before trying here this has worked out great for me. Since I don't drive and depend on Metro to get me to and from work and other places, I am right on the bus line by just stepping out my door. Maintenance and upkeep is great. And it is peaceful here. I am very thankful to live here. ❤

WOULDNT RECOMMEND!!! Management Is shady and stole money from us, and is enforcing a curfew that isn’t in the lease agreement. Also dog owners beware if you own a dog and they die you’ll have to pay another deposit if you get a new one

Residence At the Heights – Management and Maintenance Issues

I am having to post yet another complaint about this property, and this time it is because the manager (“Director”), insists on dictating to me when I will allow a service to be done on my unit. She does not try to find any alternative to de-escalate the situation, despite my warning, which indicates a very poor level of judgment, as well as reason. If you want to live here, beware that you may have to do as you’re told. Below follows my recount of just one of the major issues I have had here over the past two years.
On the afternoon of Friday, December 8th, I discovered that I no longer had hot water in my unit. It occurred again on Saturday, so I filed an emergency maintenance report. Nothing happened. Again, Sunday, no hot water. Emergency request made, no response. Find out Monday, Dec 11th, that no hot water is not an issue according to management; sorry resident. I pay $1,100 / month for a 1 bedroom, but cannot have hot water? They realize that maybe I should have some, and schedule a local plumber. Plumber was due to arrive on Friday, December 15th at 10:30am; they showed up at 11:20am. After telling me that I had to plan around 10:30. The plumbers run into issues, and find out that the problem is bigger than what the big boss had approved. During this time, the “mini-big boss” (the Director’s boss) asked me to come outside to discuss the issue with her. I was in the middle of eating lunch at a later time than anticipated because the plumbers came so late, was in my shorts, and it was 53 degrees outside. So, not only had she inconvenienced me once, but now I had to come outside with her, because she is allergic to cats. She didn’t think to call, email, me, etc.? I slammed the door shut because it was cold.
Here we are two weeks later, and they are trying to force the plumbers on me at 9am December 22 (tomorrow). Now, they have known that the expense was approved since Tuesday (12/19/23), but instead of scheduling the plumber on a day when I was working (Wednesday), Residence management decided that Friday works for them. And Friday at the time the plumber demands (9am! As if they will be here at 9am!). Aren’t they paying the plumber? Oh, they left the dry wall damage from the plumber for two weeks; that will be fixed later!
Looks like I just got my vacate order (I guess the “Director” didn’t like being called “dumb”).
Oh, speaking of water issues here, two things:
1. The water company raised rates 10% back in August due to inflation, and hasn’t lowered them since, despite falling inflation.
2. Plumber issues at the complex happen every few months, so get used to it.
Enjoy your stay at this “majestic” place, where, despite jacking rents by 20% over the past 12 months, have done zero to invest in any improvements to the buildings, facilities, or grounds.

The worst complex ever DO NOT ever give them a ounce of your time or money! I had first experience of staying here and people I knew who had proof of being here that they are crooks they steal your money and find some loophole to make you think you forgot to pay a bill or never asked for this unless you have proof and document every thing you do, me and a dozen of people who left here, have been stolen from, and lied to. Had our deposit stolen I can show you proof of this. I never used the cabinets because we got here and they were already dirty due to me not looking inside of the nice cabinets they try to hide the garbage that's under everything nice and once your reeled in there's no escaping the fraud you can't leave. Make sure you get the top floor because if someone is on top of you they can make all the noise they want and theres nothing she will do about it .Over time roaches come and die and they just paint over IT. They never come to replace any fixtures or appliances if it is on their end. NO COMMUNICATION VEEERRRYYY UNPROFESSIONAL ALL SHE WANTS TO DO IS ARGUE ABOUT EVERYTHING AND SIT THERE AND EXPLAIN WHY SHE "THINKS" SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND YOUR JUST STUPID.

Sandy is great about getting things done and keeping our little quiet corner well quiet! The insides have been renovated really nice. Really wish parking was better people have no consideration for your vehicles but I blame the towing for not towing away people who park on the lines super close to your car. The compact parking up front should just be for small cars not the big trucks that like to park all over the lines. And the Residents parking should have a sign over it because visitors are always taking the spots up front that is reserved for us. just my opinion though? I still love my apartment tho I renewed for another year!
