Location splendida. Stile vintage mantenuto anche dopo la ristrutturazione. Bella stanza grande e fornita di tutto. L'accesso alla cantina è un tocco in più. L'host presente per risolvere ogni dubbio o problema. Balcone con vista sulla valle, senza prezzo.

I’m the type of person who always reads reviews before making a decision, so I feel it’s important to share my own experience here at Palazzo Pallotti. After reading a few mixed reviews myself, I was unsure whether to choose this place or another in Bagnoregio, especially because I was considering its location. Now that I've been here, I can say that for the location alone, it’s definitely a win.

We arrived quite late, around 2 AM, after some challenges with renting a car at the Ciampino airport (they had none available). Throughout this ordeal, Chiara was incredibly responsive, and I genuinely appreciated that. She made sure we had clear instructions on where to park and how to reach the Palazzo. In fact, when we finally arrived, the place was warm and welcoming, with the temperature set to a comfortable 20°C, which made a big difference.

The next morning, when we woke up, we were truly blown away by the view. The sun was shining through the large windows, and the whole place seemed to come alive in the light. It was absolutely stunning, and I can’t emphasize enough how beautiful and peaceful the setting was.

Now, onto the things that were less pleasant, but I want to keep this as balanced as possible. First, there’s a €5 charge for parking. While this wasn’t a huge deal, it felt a little unnecessary considering there are other places to park nearby. The €1 per person tourist tax was also something I didn’t quite understand, but again, not a major issue.

I was surprised to find that there was no bottled water provided in the room. For a place that otherwise pays attention to detail, this felt like a simple thing that could have been included. Another small issue was the noise from the upstairs apartment. It’s described as a "loft," but in reality, there are people living above you, and the noise from their footsteps was quite loud, I would suggest that the term "loft" might be a bit misleading in this case, as it wasn’t the quiet, open space I had envisioned.

The location in the city center is great, but with that comes a lot of foot traffic and tourists. There’s an Instagram-worthy door with hydrangea flowers right outside, and it seemed like a new group of tourists would arrive every few minutes to take photos. With the thin walls, it felt like the bed was practically in the middle of the street—surrounded by people and noise. Speaking of the bed, while the mattress itself was comfortable, the bed frame left much to be desired. The support had broken legs, and whenever we turned over in bed, it would shake and tremble. It looked cheap compared to the rest of the room, and I really hope they replace it with something sturdier.

Lastly, there were some peculiar photos in the room—one with a man with moustache and woman, and another of a child—that I found a bit unsettling. It made me feel like I was being watched, and I couldn’t bring myself to turn toward that part of the room. I’m sure this is just a matter of personal taste, but it did make the atmosphere feel a bit uncomfortable.

Another small point: the winery on site requires an additional fee(€20 per bottle), which wasn’t a big deal, but it would have been nice if it was included in the stay, given that the Palazzo is marketed as a complete experience.

Overall, despite a few things that could be improved, I did enjoy my stay at Palazzo Pallotti. If you’re looking for a place with an amazing location and a stunning view, this is a solid choice. Just be prepared for a bit of noise and the odd quirks that come with an old building in a popular tourist spot.

One of the most unique and beautiful accommodations you will find. The view from the terrace is other-worldly, the wine cellar a few steps down from your suite is something out of a movie, and the suite are very well appointed. Centrally located just inside the city gates.
