John was a most welcome host. He went out of his way for you and the rooms were flawlessly clean and you can see the great effort he made to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back again. Thanks John!

Great room. Roomy. Private. Good bed. Good bathroom facilities. Very convenient location. Moffat is an interesting little town. Stopped one night en route to NW Scotland. John our host was excellent. Lovely breakfast served with plenty of information about the history of the house.

We stayed here on our way to the Isle of Skye and it was fantastic. John was a very charming and informative host who cooked us the best breakfast we had during our four weeks in the UK. Porridge with blueberries, Scottish salmon, Spanish ham, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms on sourdough toast - delicious ! The bedroom is beautifully decorated with a view of the church, a very comfortable bed and a lovely big, bright, bathroom. John kept us entertained with his interesting tales of the history of the house and area and we wished we could have stayed longer in this delightful B & B.

Loved staying here, it's so peaceful and quiet.
The house is beautiful, light and immaculate.
I had such a good sleep here, the bed was so comfortable (I'm actually trying to find out where I can get hold of one for my own house)
John is a fantastic host, had a great chat and laughs with him, felt like a long lost friend.
The breakfast he cooks is absolutely delicious all fresh ingredients with plenty toast and a great selection of teas.
I hope to return!

We had a lovely night's stay at Kirkview House. John is a wonderful host, really helpful, lovely to talk to and makes an excellent breakfast! The house is beautiful, packed full of history, character and lovely artwork. The room is superb, clean and well appointed with a very comfy bed and fantastic view from the window. There is a huge private bathroom too, which was very clean with everything you need. Highly recommended and we look forward to visiting again when travelling to the Highlands. Thanks John!

10/10. From a Yorkshireman. Great location for bars & restaurants. Great base for country walks. free parking very close to accommodation. Room Excellent. Extremely comfortable bed. Good views. Great decor especially the stone wall. Breakfast a treat . Made to order fresh & tasty. Well worth the money. .

A superb and characterful B&B which has been immaculately and lovingly restored by current host John. The bedroom, bathroom and breakfast are all privately presented and are amazing. John is a warm and helpful Scottish host who is full of information on the history of the property and the area. Robbie Burns visited the house when it was the church minister’s house. Excellent stay - we will return!
