This is our first time to stay here at the Inn on the Creek and it is wonderful. ||We stayed in the Aiken room and it is a very cozy cute room. The clawed tub is very charming that will whisk you away back in time. ||You'll definitely get a great night's sleep on the bed because it is very comfortable. The sheets are made of unmatched quality are fit for a king and queen.|| We liked the sheets so much we actually bought a set for our king sized bed at home. We've had the pleasure of meeting Jason, Katie, and Neil the owner and they've made us feel like family while here.|| When you stay here you definitely have to check out the Shed restaurant and Alexander's.|| The food at the Shed is exceptional we did the sampler plate, burgers, and cheese curds. They were great.|| You'll also want to eat at Alexander's on the property at the Inn as the food is phenomenal. ||We did the beef tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection along with the crab cakes and autumn bread pudding! If you're not staying at the Inn on the Creek you're missing out.|| Breakfast in the morning was stellar as well the atmosphere and people have been great. ||We definitely tip our hats off to all of the staff we've seen, and those working behind the scenes. ||You're taste buds will thank you once you eat at The Shed and Alexander's as their food is to die for!||If you've haven't booked a stay here you will be disappointed if you go anywhere else. The Inn on the Creek truly is a hidden gem that you're going to love!!! We stayed there for three nights to visit our family in Texas for Christmas. The beds were comfortable, but the smell was old and musty—terrible. The in-room coffee was the worst.||Stray dogs were running around the property and went into our room; they had been sprayed by a skunk. The hot water in the shower never went on. The heaters are difficult to manage. ||The refrigerator didn't cool, and there was no microwave in our room, which was considered to be a UPGRADE. I would like to see what the basic bungalow amenities were. I would not recommend a stay, however the property grounds are beautiful.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Inn on the creek. I would definitely stay again. The McKie was a lovely large room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view of the creek. It had a fun little library nook. The attached restaurant made a perfect stay. Close enough for a night walk to the local spots on Saturday night.

Very easy friendly checkin. Staying on the Horton House. Lovely one bedroom, spacious rooms with amenities. In room coffee service and choice of room delivered breakfast or join in breakfast at the main house. This house is a bit of a walk, especially in the TX heat, but easy to drive around the corner to breakfast. A nice little front porch to sit with coffee in the morning. Next door to the spa and quick walk to The Shed eatery. Main Street with shopping just a block away.

Salado Inn on the Creek is the perfect weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay so much and the staff is fantastic! The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The price is more than reasonable and the room was large and spacious. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to stay! We were looking for a place late that was pet friendly and stumbled upon this gem. Jason was great giving us directions as we would be getting in near 10pm. We stayed in bungalow 1 and it was so pretty and well thought out with a full coffe bar, which was amazing after days on the road. The porch swing and serene back yard with a huge stone table was a wonderful place to start our morning. We had a great breakfast with fresh fruit amd still warm bread that was sublime, delivered by 2 super wonderful sweet women. We even had two tiny fawns come and check us out! The whole town is so cute with great shops, parks, lots of unique and beautiful things with amazing antique shops too! Will definitely be back to spend more than one night! Can not recommend enough!!

I’m so happy we booked our Valentine’s stay here. The staff were very friendly, the room was super cute, and the breakfast this morning was wonderful and refreshing. Only complaint is that the room was very warm, even with the AC running. We stayed in the Vickery Room on the third floor. If you’re tall, consider a different room. We also had dinner at Alexander’s across the breezeway last night and that was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. We will be back.
