The Grandview was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. We had a beautiful decorated room with a very comfortable bed and in the morning as we walked down the stairs to the sounds of Frank Sinatra and the smell of bacon the table was set with China with fresh flowers and cloth napkins. Our hostess’s Gwendolyn greeted us with her warm smile and cheery personality. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing the host Dennis shared the town’s information on where we could take our morning walk and different restaurants that we could have dinner. The town is just charming. Everything is in walking distance and there are shops after shops to certainly keep you busy.
We certainly found a gem and will come back to enjoy another long weekend in Mount Dora at the Grandview.

Had a wonderful time staying here! It’s a beautiful house dated just early 1900s. The place is incredibly and tastefully decorated. It is well kept, bathrooms are updated, and they have managed to kept the house’s character. It is also spotless, inside and out. Gwendolyn and Dennis were attentive, warm, and different than a hotel, catered easily to individual needs. They are very flexible. The location is seven minutes walking to everywhere, Donnelly Street where restaurants and shops and lake, and Palm Island Park, where you can hike, run, bike or rent a kayak (by Rent.Fun). I enjoyed the tree lined neighborhood and my French Country Farm room with the soft earthy natural covers and french doors leading to my bathroom. Thank you! Had a wonderful time which next time has to be longer than four days!

Gwendolyn, the owner, is the perfect host and excellent cook! The breakfast is made to order and include a mimosa and freshly made pastry. Gwendolyn is a party chef! The inn is immaculate and well appointed with unexpected extras! The pool area is a plus and includes beach towels and sun screen!! ||The Inn is an easy walk from the downtown shopping area!

Perfect weekend getaway. Gwendolyn is a great host, and makes the most wonderful breakfast, from the best scrambled eggs with just the right amount of swiss and gruyere cheese, and crispy prosciutto, to perfectly cooked applewood bacon, and bread-pudding, yum. The house is lovely, and the pool porch are so relaxing. It's a nice walk to the historic downtown. We will definitely stay again.

We had such a lovely weekend stay at the Grandview B&B and cannot wait to return in a few months! Gwendolyn and Dennis are genuinely kind people, and their passion for providing excellent customer service and satisfaction is apparent. Their home is beautiful, centrally located, and we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious breakfasts each morning. As a veteran, I must also mention how much I appreciate their respectfulness to that end.

Gwendolyn was a wonderful host. Room was spotless. Fantastic breakfast and so attentive to every detail! Inn is in a great location for walking to downtown but in a quiet location. Unfortunately, we were too busy to enjoy the pool but it looked very nice. We will be back.

I visited the Grandview this past weekend for an afternoon tea, and was enchanted by Gwendolyn and her excellent hospitality and making my tea feel so special. We felt right around home and wished that we were staying the night. We will definitely be back for tea again and to stay a weekend. There was not a speck of dust in sight. They take great care of maintaining the property, and the house was so clean! We were very impressed.

My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to Mount Dora to visit my childhood town. We wanted to visit the Windsor Rose Tea Room but after learning they closed, we started looking for another place to go. Well what we found was an absolute gem. We only stayed for tea and it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The owners are the kindest people. It felt less like a serviced restaurant and more like stopping for lunch at a friend’s house. Every single detail was so lovely and thoughtful. We each got to choose our own tea, and they had an excellent and interesting selection. Then, we had some fabulous sandwiches, scones, and blueberry muffins. Everything was homemade and served with fresh cream and jam. They also let us choose a tea to take home! We were welcome to sit outside on their cozy porch, or leave our car parked to walk downtown. I deeply regret not staying here and my husband and I definitely plan to come back again and again! I was reminded of the kindness and charm that is very present in Mount Dora. We both left feeling so warm and happy. Thank you so much Grandview and we cannot wait to return!
