Abbiamo deciso di soggiornare da Paul in quanto il risparmio era notevole. Non ci siamo pentiti, questo é un ottimo B&B a due passi dal traghetto che in 20 minuti ti porta a Manhattan gratis! La zona è molto carina e tranquilla. Camera spaziosa e colazione ottima e abbondante!

Dirty, the stench when we entered the room was almost unbelievable, my wife started to choke herself with cough, having no other alternative we decided to stay, so we opened every window we could find and went out for a couple of hours, upon return it became breathable, on the net site it was announced a parking space and breakfast, but there were none offered, instead we were directed on street parking and the deli across the road. The neighborhood doesn't feel safe although nothing happened, so maybe it was just a bad feeling due to state of the house . Only upside is it's close, walking distance, to Staten Island Ferry.

Ich war im November für 9 Tage bei Paul und habe mich mit Absicht für Staten Island entschieden denn in der Innenstadt wollte ich nicht übernachten.
Klar, Staten Island ist ein bisschen außerhalb aber hat eine super Anbindung an Manhattan durch die Fähre die sehr oft fährt und fussläufig in 10 Minuten zu erreichen ist.

Mein Zimmer war eher wie eine kleine Wohnung und riesig. Es war alles da was man braucht.
Es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich.
Gegenüber ist ein kleiner Deli wo man alles bekommt was man braucht. Auch ein Waschsalon ist vorhanden.
Die Gegend sieht am Anfang erstmal sehr komisch aus aber ist absolut sicher!! Menschen sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Paul ist ein super Gastgeber. Sehr freundlich und extrem hilfsbereit.

Rustic, but clean and comfortable. It was as expected. The host was very friendly, the location is quiet and only a 10 min walk away from the Staten Island ferry to Manhattan.

Excelente relación calidad/precio. Al estilo de casas de New York, las habitaciones son grandes, espaciosas, con una cocina integrada. Muy cerca del ferry y el del outlet Empire. Buena comunicación con Manhattan y New Jersey. Excelente atención de Paul. Es como estar en casa.

Beautiful home in a convenient location. Short walk to the free Staten Island Ferry to Manhattan, shops, restaurants, bus routes, and the St. George Theatre. Paul is a very gracious host. Highly recommend Fort Pl B&B

This place is a Hidden Gem, with easy access to NYC. it on Quiet Staten Island, which makes it a good respite from the busy hustle and bustle of New York. The close proximity (within a 10 minute walk) to the Staten Island Ferry makes it convenient home base to get in and out of NYC. It is relatively inexpensive compared to staying in other boroughs. You basically get a nice room, with a small 10 channel basic cable tv. nothing special) and each floor has a bathroom. You might share the bathroom with one other guest if there's someone in the other room on your floor. But overall it is great. You meet the owner who is very easy to communicate with and can help you learn about the city if you have any questions. Very approachable through Email. I had to cancel a couple of times and he took care of everything. Very professional. I stay here whenever visitng NYC. They do have a small continential breakfast, but is just your basic stuff nothing fancy. NO eggs or anything. I just prefer takinga discount off my room over the continential b-fast. I usually grab a breakfast bagel sandwich from a store around the corner when I am going to the Ferry. Overall it is a great place to stay and make your home base when in NYC.
