Our stay at the Fairlamb House in Delta, Colorado, was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, Liz and John made us feel like family with their warm and welcoming hospitality. The house itself is beautifully maintained, offering cozy accommodations that immediately made us feel at home.

The breakfasts were absolutely amazing—each morning was a delightful culinary experience, with fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared dishes that fueled us for the day ahead.

And we can’t forget to mention their sweet dog, Sassy! She was such a kind and gentle presence, making our stay even more special. It felt like home away from home having her around.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and truly special place to stay in Delta, the Fairlamb House is it. Thank you, Liz and John, for an unforgettable experience! We can’t wait to return.

Beatifully restored 1906 house. Bed and breakfast very reasonably priced. Liz and John, the proprietors and restorers, were ideal hosts. The location was quiet, the yard and gardens well kept. Cold drinks and coffee available outside the bedrooms. Enjoyed visiting with Liz and John (coincidentally, the names of my sister and her husband). Want to return with my wife. She’ll love it. The house itself reminded me of Orson Welles’ Magnificent Ambersons.

Lovely combination work/adventure trip to the Western Slope of Colorado was made most comfortable by staying at the Fairlamb. Elizabeth and John are kind, helpful, and accommodated our various breakfast times. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful each day. Their sweet dog, Sassy, made us feel at home and greeted us each day. We were lucky to be there in time to still experience the holiday decorations... the home is truly decorated to the nines!

I first stayed at the Fairlamb House back in the mid-90s when I was working with the local school district. The owners, John and Elizabeth, are the nicest people you'll ever meet. The rooms are beautifully decorated, quality linens, comfy beds... you get the idea. But, hands down, the food is wonderful. I always ask Elizabeth for her last recipe because the food is exceptional. If your travels take you to Delta, Colorado, this is a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended!

This place is so great I had to drop by and introduce John and Elizabeth to our family.

Our stay in the Fairlamb House far exceeded our expectations. Fairlamb House is a historic residence of a prominent local family, beautifully restored by John and Elizabeth. Turn of the century furniture and antiques galore. They were warm, gracious and accommodating hosts. Our only regret was that our stay was so brief.

Beautiful home, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating! So many amenities and thoughtful touches. The breakfasts are fantastic! The place is a bit of a museum - stuffed to the gills - but can be fun to look over. They have done a great job rehabbing the property and making it something to be proud of to share with their guests.

My experience at Fairlamb was a delight. Elizabeth and John have restored the grand mansion it once was into what is now a beautiful Bed & Breakfast that welcomes guests to a warm and lovely look toward the past with all the design details of yesteryears. The amenities are modern and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the coffee bar right outside my bedroom door and the delicious breakfasts whose cooking aromas drifted up to the second floor as I readied myself for the day. Our hosts were extradorinarily gracious. I can't say enough about the B&B or our hosts! I will be returning to the Fairlamb again!

Elizabeth and John's hospitality was above excellent. We loved hearing about the history of the house, the complimentary beverages and snacks, enjoying a drink on the backyard patio, the hot tub and then to finish off our quick trip, the delicious breakfast. Sassy the resident pup was icing on the cake. They made us feel so comfortable in their home. Our room was perfect. The bed was comfortable. We will recommend it to friends and hopefully be back soon. The price was more than reasonable.
