This place is secluded, but it is beautiful and was worth the trip and stay. The viewers were beautiful and the campground well maintained. Great showers and amenities. We would stay here again.

They double booked as some staff made a mistake. when I opened the door after checking in there was someone’s luggage in the room ? at first they thought it’s a security issue and it took 3 hours for them to figure out it’s a double booking situation.
They are also fully booked for holiday so I couldn’t get the cabin I booked.

Front desk gave me a comp night tent and wine, helped a bit but i started check in at 5pm and weren’t able to get in the room until 8pm.

One star for front desk as he gave clear info on different type of tents for me to select so I was able to have at least a warm stay with heater and heated blanket.

Beautiful location with ocean views and lots to do including beach hikes. There are various accommodations from tents to rooms to cabins. We stayed in a cabin with heat and a restroom. Our friends stayed in a tent and froze! The restaurant onsite is a great place to meet for happy hour or to share a meal.

Our family absolutely LOVES Costanoa! We recently celebrated an engagement, and Costanoa was the perfect place for it. The proposal happened on the beach right in front of the resort, and we followed it with a wonderful dinner at the Cascade Restaurant.

A special shoutout to the amazing food and beverage coordinator, Chloe, who went above and beyond to make the dinner extra special. She thoughtfully decorated and arranged a BEAUTIFUL setting for our large group, and even provided golf cart transportation for us!

We were also lucky to have Trish as our server—she was so attentive and kind throughout the entire evening.

It was truly a magical weekend, and our family will always come back to Costanoa for both relaxation and celebration.

CostaNova used to be our absolute favorite getaway spot, a place where my family, especially the kids, always felt safe and secure. We’ve returned time and time again because of the trust we had in this place. However, our most recent stay was a complete nightmare.

During our visit, there was a break-in involving the vehicles parked right in front of our cabin, and personal belongings were stolen. This shocking violation of security left us feeling vulnerable and completely unsettled. A place we once loved has now turned into a source of anxiety and distrust.

This review is in no way a reflection of the establishment itself or the amazing property. The grounds and amenities remain wonderful, but the lack of security during our stay has overshadowed everything else.

I booked a “cabin” but did not realize it did not include a private shower, only a private toilet and sink. I contacted Expedia which then claimed to have called Costanoa but was unable to get a hold of them. I had just spoken to them but was directed to Expedia as I had made my booking on there. Costanoa had told me the new room was “only $9 more” which was great. Expedia told me they would have to file for a waiver in order to get me a refund for the previous room. I agreed and paid for this new room. However, Expedia has now said the property (which makes my review relevant here) rejected to waive my fee for canceling the other room to book the new one. So now I paid $258.17 for the first booking and $267.15 for the new one. Both bookings were for the same night. Costanoa is nice but not $525 nice. If waivers are bound to be rejected than Expedia/Costanoa should just refuse refunds/changes after their deadline altogether. I was tricked with false promises.

All the staff I interacted with at Costanoa were great during my stay. However, the (potential) refund process used by Expedia/this property left me disappointed.

What a hidden gem along the coast! It’s the fanciest RV park I’ve ever stayed at! The entire area resembles a garden, and the facilities are impeccably maintained, clean, and functional.

However, there are two basic things that could easily be improved to enhance the guest experience. Firstly, providing a better power strip with a few more plugs for charging, and secondly, changing the shower head to increase water pressure.

I love the bungalow we stayed in; it was neat and cozy. I could barely hear the waves from the ocean.

Our third trip here and likely our last for one reason. The service in the restaurant is horrible. Long waits to be seated, for someone to take your order, to receive your food and your check. Staff is friendly but seem to be inefficient and likely understaffed. When you get your food it is just OK. Better food is 30 minutes away so not a lot of options. If you are camping and doing your own cooking than Costanoa is a great choice.
