Beautiful, and far enough away from the city to be quiet and plenty peaceful.

Lots of great trails can be accessed from this trailhead for a mix variety of recreational activities.

Trails start out as easy but there are several much harder options just short ways beyond the lot.

I would give 5 stars, but there is no bathroom.

Great place to bring dogs.

A great jumping off point for various loop and in-and-out trails. The trails are well maintained and there are numerous small "ruin" sites in the area with various remnants of the former mines and mining camps that existed here. The scenery is stunning, particularly in the fall months, and the vistas are spectacular.

Very scenic trail, amazing mountain views, most of the old mining camps are disassembled. There is a lot of tree shade.

The trail is a bit confusing to navigate, we used the ALL TRAILS APP and downloaded the trail, which saved us a ton of time not getting lost, lol.

Trail markings are not marked on each turn, more like every 3 or so turns.

Large parking lot with plenty of free parking.

Amazing trail within minutes from downtown Breckenridge! Lots of connecting trails so you can make your hike as short or as long as you like. Lots of great views and unique structures to look at for being a relatively easy to moderate trail. You can bring dogs, or also ride mountain bikes if that's your thing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great hike next to town.

The trailhead was easy to find and there was ample room for parking. The trail was gentle and would be easy for most types of hikers. However, it was a little muddy on our May 21 hike. We encountered several patches of snow and these were often knee high. But the path is beautiful and scenery is very nice. I would describe them as rolling woodlands. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this hike, but next time in this area I will definitely do it again.

Great little trail and not very many people (we did hike on a Thursday) they have it as moderate but I'd call it more easy. You can combine both trails for almost 4 miles. It's fun to see the old mines and great trails. Lots of parking and great views from the parking lot.

Pretty vistas, but so easy to get lost/confused! We saw a couple options on google maps, but definitely all trails was easier to use to navigate the turns and trails. We had to cut the hike short (to 2.5 miles) because we kept stopping to take pictures and smell the flowers. Definitely recommend if you need to get your heart beating but not be hiking all afternoon!
