We loved our 2 nights at Burnside b&b and would definitely stay there again. We received a very warm welcome from the host Sharon in a beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean home. We stayed in the larger room - room 2 where everything was provided for us in what felt like ‘a suite’!
Great options for breakfasts and all freshly cooked.
Parking is available across the road; about 20 minutes walk into Keswick town.
We had a wonderful stay.

– Firstly, such a warm welcome from Sharon the owner. We stayed in room2 which had a lovely bay window, sofa and was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean. The little touches like toiletries, heated towel rail , tea & coffee making accessories. |The cooked breakfast was first class & Sharon's homemade jams were delicious. My favourite was the porridge, Sharon made it just the way I like it.|The location was about 1 mile walk into the town of Keswick. Just nice to walk off your breakfast or walking back after your evening meal.|Last but not least & most important, The Bed!!! Sooooooooo Comfortable with lovely cotton crisp white bedding. Snoozzzzzzzzz.....|Thanks Sharon for such a wonderful stay.|Karen & Paul.

My husband booked this trip as a treat and planned everything- and one of the best things on the trip was staying here! It was lovely, quintessential, wholesome & very clean! Sharon was very welcoming, friendly and kind! Happy to offer directions and recommendations for walks/ things to do and restaurants. If you love William Morris decor like me you will be very happy! The breakfast was 10/10 amazing and delicious! Sets you up for a day of exploring! Sharons homemade marmalade/Jam is also something not to be missed!!! ❤️ It’s a short 15 walk into town and we would recommend getting a gelato from Casa Bella on the way back home In the evening ? would 100% stay again! Perfect in every way. Good value. Probably the best-cooked breakfast we have ever had, with high-quality produce and excellent choices. Great location, with easy parking across the road and a 20-minute leisurely stroll down the Keswick Railway Trail, it is a beautiful flat and accessible route away from roads into the heart of Keswick. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. If they have any vacancies next time we visit the area we will definitely stay here. Thank you.

A warm welcome awaited us at this lovely b&b, by Sharon and Pete, who are wonderfully friendly hosts. It's an immaculately clean Victorian (or perhaps Edwardian house), that has clearly been renovated and maintained to a high standard. The traditional interior design touches that made us feel instantly at home - yet somewhere rather special away from home. Our room was well equipped, very clean and comfortable with a sumptuous bed and sofa (and daffodils Tiffany light shade). Delicious full English breakfasts (made to a professional standard) were served at a pre arranged time (also American pancakes bacon and maple syrup) with tea, coffee and fruit juice, toast (homemade conserves) and a choice of cereals etc from the dresser. Again Sharon was warm and friendly at breakfast time - evidently taking pleasure from pleasing her guests and rightly had a sense of pride in her work. We can't recommend this establishment highly enough - it's a shining example of how you want a Lakeland bed and breakfast to be.

A fantastic place to stay in the lakes. Sharon made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble.|Our room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely view ! Lovely breakfast and they cater for vegeterians too... Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the lakes.

We always stay at Burnside B&B . They make us so welcome, and we’ve just stayed there for a week. Sharon &Pete are lovely, and look after you very well. We love staying in Keswick, lots to see and do. Wonderful pubs, restaurants. |We travel to different parts of the lakes by bus , the scenery is spectacular!

Excellent bnb with a lovely friendly host who is a font of knowledge and works tirelessly to ensure all the guest have a fantastic stay, we stayed in the twin room, (second bed was a pull out sofa bed, which i was made aware of before booking) the room was excellent lovely both beds super comfy and the well stocked tea tray was a lovely little extra touch. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty along with Sharon's homemade jams and marmalade again another nice extra touch. We are keen walkers so the location and walk into Keswick wasn't a problem for us it took about 20mins along the old railway past the swimming baths and then down in to keswick. We would highly recommend it and definitely stay if we're in the area again .
