This fall I moved into a Mustang Village townhouse and I have loved my experience thus far! As a second-year college student who’s never lived in my own apartment, I felt pretty situated quickly. The employees are very nice, there are many amenities, and the walk to the Cal Poly campus is less than five minutes. The living room is pretty spacious and the kitchen is furnished with an oven, dishwasher, many cabinets, fridge, microwave, electric stove. I would recommend Mustang Village especially to a prospective resident who goes to Cal Poly because many students live here and it’s nice to see familiar faces. The walk to and from campus at night is not too scary because you’re surrounded by students coming and going. The service and Wifi has been smooth for me. Every maintenance request I have put in has been completed well and quickly. I have 90% positive things to say about Mustang Village, my only qualm is that general parking can be hard to find most nights. I feel pretty safe and content in Mustang Village and love living in the townhomes!

Lived in Mustang for 3 years and while there were some benefits and they were almost always prompt with maintenance requests , they did switch my lease without my consent my first year with them. I also spent my sophomore year living with one roommate who had a cat and two other women that Mustang Village placed in the same apartment who had noted in their application that they were allergic to cats and then refused to do anything about their screw up. They also regularly shut off water for multiple hours (with only a few hours or minutes warning) due to issues with the pipes. I also had problems with leaks and bugs (ants and crickets) in my apartment.

DONT LIVE HERE! its super close to campus, and that is the only good thing about mustang village. They shut off my water at least twice a month for repairs and it was always 8:30am to 11:30am and it would ruin my whole day. Most of the time they would not even give a warning or they would give a warning 30 minutes before they shut it off. They will also take every dollar they can from you, i tried disputing a late fee that was not appropriate for a rent payment and they purposefully acted dumb and avoided my dispute and all of the information i was providing and I must assume they were just waiting for me to give up and pay it anyways, even though it was pretty much their fault that the rent was late. also the townhomes in m1 are pigstyes and the floors are so gross that even after sweeping and mopping your socks will turn black from walking on them.

Mustang. Village receives 5 stars. My daughter moved in this fall and the staff were helpful and courteous. There were a few issues in the apartment which were resolved quickly. I called the office and spoke with Mia Cianelli who helped me navigate the ACH process for rental payments. She was patient, kind and very helpful. I highly recommend Mustang Village for Cal Poly students to live.

The leasing office was very helpful when I was looking for a place to live. As a first time renter I was scared and didn’t know where to begin. I talked with Caty in the front office and she walked me through the application and was super patient answering the hundreds of questions I had. She also gave me a tour of the property which helped me understand the demographics of the complex. Overall the place was well kept and super nice, especially the pool and gym. Great and very easy process from applying to moving in.

Highly recommend Mustang Village! Tour it if you have questions (I was concerned about safety and potential for noise/party atmosphere).

Lauren was our guide and showed us around via golf cart (fun!). She answered all of our questions (how do kids get mail, do laundry, outside lighting, parking, general atmosphere, etc.). We were happy with how clean and well-run (and well-lit at night) the whole place seems to be. Plus management seems very responsive (one resident asked Lauren a question during our tour and she was very pleasant and was able to help him). All of this was a stark difference from our tour of a neighboring complex just before btw.

We're excited for our daughter to live at Mustang Village and highly recommend any parent with questions take a tour (try to get Lauren as your guide, she has experience living at MV, great perspective and knows a lot about the whole area).
