This place is one of the worst. They don't take care of the elderly. If the elderly can't walk, they will literally not feed or bathe them. Like seriously, what kind of place that you pay for your loved one to be happy in their last moment but instead, they spend their worst moment due to the staff not taking care of or doing their job? If we trust them with our loved ones, why don't they get the support they need? It doesn't make any sense for me to visit my father at 2 am to find out he hasn't eaten for a whole freaking day. It has come to a point where I no longer believe a word coming from this company.

The director, administrator and caring staff at The Residence at Dania Beach are professional at every turn, gentle with the family of the loved one in their care and they go above and beyond to provide quality of life for the resident. My 87 yr old father had to be placed directly from the hospital and they did not hesitate to accommodate and make every possible arrangement for him. They understood and were very compassionate to my concerns and emotional state during the situation. They stayed in full contact with me during transition and even though my father couldn't stay there due to unforeseen circumstances, they still did all they could to help me move and place him elsewhere. I highly recommend The Residence at Dania Beach assisted facility for your loved one. Thank you for all you did for us!

I do not typically write reviews. But I was so disgusted and couldn't sleep the night after visiting this place, that I had to inform people of what I saw. First a quick list of things I saw.

- No call button in the rooms. Residents have to use their cell phone, if they have one. Otherwise they have to yell for help.
- No TVs. 3/4 of the rooms have no TVs
- Facility does not have enough staff to care for the residents
- Doesn't follow dietary restrictions of residents
- Saw dried blood stains on the floor by the chairs in the main lobby to the right center when you walk through the front doors of the visitor waiting area
- Saw dried trail of waste (5-6 trailing spots) on the floor while walking in the hall on the tile.
- Observed one staff member in dietary, while moving the food cart engaged in a heated discussion while on their cell phone. This isn't professional.
- Residents at times not seen by staff in the morning or brought breakfast until after 10 am. One resident was yelling asking for their food.
- Overall the location is not clean

This place needs to be shut down, visited by the state or have new owners that will put the money into improving the facility and care

One of the worst places I've ever seen in my life, I liken it to a prison. Family member was in this facility and the care was horrible. Unsolicited, I heard several residents complaining about the food and level of care. Several were indicating they would leave the facility to have decent food. While there I saw two family members move their love one from this facility. Needless to say we too moved my family member.

Also, when at the front desk waiting seating area, I saw spots of dry blood on the floor. When we went in to see my family member and walked down the halls, we then noticed 5 to 6 dried spots of trailing waste that seemed to have been trailed by a resident. It was not cleaned up by the staff.

The place does not smell well at all. When speaking with social works, one indicated, "that place will kill them (my family member)". Also the location does not follow the diary restrictions my family member had. If you know what's best, I urge you do not, DO NOT send your family member to this location if you care about them. Consider your own self, if you would feel comfortable living at this location.

Upon arrival to move in to the facility ,the room was dirty floors were sticky and bathroom was disgusting. The following day my father has a list of complaints before I could even ask how is everything! The food sucks,The staff is not welcoming and very unorganized and unprofessional no one acts like they knows what their duties are the staff is just here to get paid and could careless about the people. This is not an assistant living facility is more of a hospice facility!

I never thought of writing a review but I was so horribly upset when I left this place I was shocked that anyone would live in this place never mind pay.Our medicaid medicare system allows this my gawd.First mistake having the memory care door in the back parking lot I thought was front door it wasn't I heard screaming help HELP.I understand dementia but I don't know how the owners allow this the people in wheelchairs outside down the block are you kidding this reminded me of a homeless shelter that I had to ask the girl if it was. I saw the tray cart of food in a Styrofoam cup was cereal who is that feeding a baby . Yes it's cheap 1500.00 and up but it's a bed not apt so it's not cheap plus you get paid by medicaid the difference add it up folks the money they make .I don't know how any family members put love ones in this place.I never go by reviews I am glad I went to see before I placed a loved one who needs care they said they don't have a nurse never mind a dr.so God forbid your choking or fall a CNA helps out.its disgusting. I swear to God take my advice DO NOT LET ANYONE YOU LOVE LIVE IN THIS PLACE..I am so sad I cried that people are treated like this...Owners should be ashamed. The PHD DR who wrote a review 7 months ago yeah ok WOULD YOUR MOTHER LIVE THERE HMMM I DOUBT IT UNLESS YOU HATE HER she must be a owner because no one in this country would think that is a good place compared to jail then I guess it would you should be ashamed of writing g a good review.Please trust our reviews it's HORRIBLE drive by ask questions omg one of the reviews is from a staff member she gave 5 stars she works there.what frauds...should be really ashamed

This facility is very nice. It's clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly, professional and take a sense of pride in their work. They care for the residents and the residents appear content and satisfied with their care as well.

They kicked out my friend because she needed more care than they could give her. They called her names and cussed at her all the time. They neglected her.
